HAPPY NEW YEAR!
OK, now I know this says Merry Christmas, but I didn't get a chance to post this on Christmas, so I am doing it now. Making the last post of the year. So with that out the way, I have many New Years Goals, and plan to actually achieve them this year. One of the three major goals is to DO MORE ART! More posts, a website and to illustrate that alphabet book that I have wanted to do for years. I think I have a solid style kinda down. Now just to move forward on it. So Happy New Year everyone and, until next year, be safe!

Christmas Card Teaser
It is that time again when Christmas cards go out. I am a huge procrastinator on making mine. For some reason, this holiday seems to just sneak up on me every year. I am not done yet but just wanted to put a teaser on. I WILL be finished tomorrow so I can print them off on Monday and send out on Tuesday morning. Stay tuned...

Another Self Portrait
Cut-Paper-Noah's Ark
I made this Labor Day weekend for my Aunt and Uncle. This was for a Bible Study class they are taking, and they needed it for demonstration when talking. So as the sweet and caring Niece I am, I did this. The picture is really crappy because I took it from my phone. I really enjoyed making this and I want to make more things out of cut paper.

IF: Disguise
*** To the comment with trying it with an open eye. Here is one.
Ok this is kind of a stretch but, I am submitting this for Illustration Friday topic, Disguise. This is the Golden Calf an according to the Bible it was intended to be a physical representation of the God of Israel. At that time the Hebrews were reviving in the wilderness and some believed the God of Israel was associated with a calf or bull deity.
Here is an explanation from Wikipedia:
When Moses went up onto Mount Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments (Exodus 19:20), he left the Israelites for forty days and forty nights (Exodus 24:18). The Israelites feared that he would not return and asked Aaron to make for them an image of the God of Israel (Exodus 32:1). However, Aaron refused to build a representation of the God of Israel. The Israelites had complained enough to overwhelm Aaron, so he complied and gathered up the Israelites' golden earrings. He melted them and constructed a statue of a young bull, made of gold. Aaron also built an altar before the calf and declared "Israel, these are your gods, which brought you out of the land of Egypt". And the next day, the Israelites made offerings to the Golden Calf and celebrated. Moses saw what they were doing and became angry with them, shattering the Tablets of Stone God had written His laws for the Israelites upon.
So I think Disguise works ok for this weeks topic.
Let me know what you think?
This is actually for my Aunt, she needs it for Bible Study. I want to fix the type and put it along side of it. But it's getting late and have to get ready for bed.

Getting Ready for the Web
Hey I am in the process of getting a website together. Here are the sketches I have for the front page. I am making my site on Carbonmade so using their temple, I am a little restricted . Since I don't have any art for this blog or the new site, I have to make art simultaneously for both places. I am off a few days next week and plan to just do art.
I'll post the site name when I get some stuff on there that I want to show off.

TIME FOR A CHANGE...
Hello Everyone!
If you are visiting my blog and notice that everything is gone, you are not mistaken.
I deleted everything because I wasn't happy with the art I had on here. I wasn't putting my best foot forward online.
So I am reinventing myself and only putting quality work on here. I am going to upload artwork at the least once a week. I have goals and dreams that I want to accomplish in life and I need to be diligent about getting them done.
